Mr. Young is a co-founder of Sorenson Capital and a Managing Director.
Mr. Young has had extensive experience in private equity and venture capital investments and in entrepreneurial projects as a limited partner, angel investor and board member.
Prior to founding Sorenson Capital, Mr. Young was Managing Partner of IRR Partners, a San Francisco-based private investment firm established with Mr. Lawson.
Mr. Young has also been a member in Northgate Capital, LLC, the general partner of Northgate Capital Partners, L.P., a fund of funds since 1999.
Mr. Young has been involved in fundraising, development and monitoring on behalf of Northgate.
Mr. Young's professional football career spanned more than fifteen years in the NFL, primarily with the San Francisco 49ers, where he received numerous accolades, including the NFL's Most Valuable Player for 1992 and 1994, Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXIX as well as Sports Illustrated and Sporting News' Player of the Year from 1992-1994.
Mr. Young is also the highest-rated quarterback in NFL history and has the distinction of being the only signal caller in league annals to win four consecutive passing titles.
Mr. Young founded and chairs the Forever Young Foundation which is actively involved in children's charities in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Utah, and is currently the broadcast host as well the former International Spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network which has raised over one billion dollars world-wide to benefit children's hospitals.
Mr. Young is a graduate of Brigham Young University where he earned a J.D.
degree from the College of Law as well as a B.S.
in Finance and Political Science.
