Dr. Louis Cannon is the Founder and Senior Managing Director of BioStar, a Judith Folkman Scholar in Residence, former President of the Cardiac & Vascular Research Center of Northern Michigan and has been the national or international principal investigator of leading cardiovascular clinical trial studies.
He is or has been a member of the Advisory Boards for Abbott Laboratories, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Guidant, Johnson & Johnson, Covidien, and Pfizer.
Dr. Cannon has licensed medical patents to Boston Scientific and Medtronic, has hundreds of publications, abstracts or book chapters, and has been involved or has performed live cases in Paraguay, Montreal and Asia, including Singapore, and Japan.
Dr. Cannon received his MD from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine graduating Alpha Omega Alpha, as an inductee in the medical honor society and subsequently became quadruple board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
