AllianceBernstein LP (AB) is a SEC-registered investment advisor and mutual fund manager headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 2000, the firm is owned by Equitable Financial Life Insurance Co., ultimately held by Equitable Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EQH). AB provides investment advice to investment companies, pension and profit-sharing plans, banks and thrift institutions, trusts, estates, government agencies, charitable organizations, individuals, corporations and other business entities.

In 2009, AIG-IJ became PineBridge Investments Japan which was created following the aquisition by Pacific Century Group. AIG Investments Japan Co. Ltd. (AIG-IJ) was the Japanese asset management arm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of AIG Global Investment Group, part of American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG). Established in 1986, AIG-IJ was formerly known as AIG Global Investment Corp. (Japan) and was located in Tokyo. The firm managed Japanese equity and fixed-income funds and advised portfolios for Ireland-domiciled umbrella funds managed within the parent group. They also managed domestic real estate investments, and socially responsible investments. AIG-IJ's clients were primarily institutional investors, including high net-worth individuals.

AllianceBernstein Japan Ltd. (AB Japan) is the wholly-owned Japanese fund management subsidiary of AllianceBernstein Corp. of Delaware, ultimately held by Equitable Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EQH) in the US. The firm was founded in 1996 and formerly known as Alliance Capital Asset Management (Japan) Ltd. AB Japan is headquartered in Tokyo and manages mutual funds for individual and institutional investors.
