Founded in 1989, Keep The Midlands Beautiful is a nonprofit organization dedicated to litter prevention, recycling, beautification, and community engagement in Richland and Lexington counties. The non-profit company is based in West Columbia, SC. The organization mobilizes volunteers to remove litter from local roadways and waterways and offers programs such as Adopt-a-Highway, Adopt-a-Street, Adopt-a-Waterway, one-time cleanups, Spotless Service Saturdays, and the annual Lake Sweep/River Sweep event.
