Ulrich Laitenberger

Dr. Ulrich Laitenberger is a Research Associate at ZEW-Leibniz-Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung.
He joined the firm in 2011 and has been a ZEW Research Associate since May 2017 and works in close cooperation with the Research Department "Digital Economy".
He is an associate professor in the Department of Economics and Social Sciences at Télécom Paris.
His research interests are empirical industrial organization, competition policy and the economics of digitization.
In particular, he focuses on the design and impact of digital markets and platforms.
Previously, he was a post-doctoral researcher in ZEW’s Research Department “Information and Communication Technologies” as well as the University of Mannheim.
He graduated in November 2015.
Prior to earning his Ph.D., he studied economics at the University of Würzburg and at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona.
