Langston serves as senior vice president – chief information officer (CIO) for SSM Health Care and as the senior leader for SSM Integrated Health Technologies (IHT), an SSM Health Care business unit responsible for information technology (IT) and clinical engineering services (CES) for SSM-owned acute-care hospitals, physician practices and nursing homes.
His duties include management of IT/CES strategy, IT/CES operations and service delivery, and IT project management.
Langston joined SSM Health Care in 1981 as manager of employee benefits.
He has held positions as corporate director of employee benefits and ERP executive project manager.
In 2001, Langston became SSM's first president of SSM Information Center and later SSM Integrated Health Technologies and was responsible for the system-wide deployment of the electronic health record.
Langston holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in business administration/finance from St. Louis University.
