Ms. Sara Queen is a Managing Director & Head of Real Estate Equity at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. In her new role, she will oversee MetLife Investment Management's USD32.7bn Real Estate Equity portfolio, which includes core, core-plus, build-to-core, value-add and opportunistic strategies for the firm's institutional clients and MetLife's general account.
She has most recently served as head of North America business for Mapletree Investments, a global real estate development, investment and capital management company headquartered in Singapore.
Before Mapletree Investments, she spent 11 years at Brookfield as head of asset management for the company's U.S.
office portfolio, in addition to overseeing strategic planning and management of its closed end accounts business.
She, who began her asset management career at MetLife in 1991, has also spent nine years at Clarion Partners in a variety of asset management and portfolio management roles.
