Sam Newman

Sam Newman is Co-Head of EMEA for Green Investment Group (GIG), a role he assumed in July 2022.
He is also Head of GIG Principal Investments, with responsibility for overseeing GIG’s legacy balance sheet investments.
Sam joined Macquarie in 1999 and previously held a number of roles within Macquarie Capital including Head of European Debt Capital Markets and Head of European Capital Markets, where he played a key role in the acquisition of the Green Investment Bank from the UK Government.
Sam is based in London and has a Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University, Queensland, Australia.
