Founders Equity invests in small to mid-cap companies located in the United States with an EBITDA of USD 2 - 15 million and revenues of USD 20 - 150 million. The firm focuses on a broad range of sectors and industries. It participates in recapitalizations, MBOs, buy & build strategies, accelerating growth, later stage growth, corporate divestitures, going private, special situations and turnarounds transactions with an investment size of up to USD 10 million per transaction. It acquires majority and minority interest and also makes co-investments with an investment size of up to USD 20 million.

Functions as a College/University

The Investment Office helps support the University’s mission of being a top research university that provides accessibility to students. The Chief Investment Officer is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Investment Office, and is supported by a dedicated team of investment professionals. The University’s investment strategy incorporates a diversified asset allocation approach and maintains, within defined limits, exposure to the movements of the world equity, fixed income, commodities, real estate, and private equity markets. Financial derivative instruments may be used to manage foreign currency exposure, to obtain commodity exposure, to create synthetic exposure, or to obtain protection against increases in interest rates. A percentage of its assets are usually allocated to investment managers specializing in securities whose prices are denominated in foreign currencies. In addition, the University has entered into option contracts on interest rate swaps as a way to mitigate the impact of a significant rise in interest rates in the future.
