Can, he was CEO of English, Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd, a rail operator that provides freight, engineering support and hire services to the British rail industry.
Previously, he served as Group CEO of Ibstock Plc, a U.K.-based manufacturer and supplier of building products with operations in Europe and the U.S., where he helped improve the company’s operational and financial results and sell it to CRH Plc.
Mr. Mengel received an A.B.
in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.
He currently serves as a Director of The Economist Group Ltd, the publisher of The Economist.
