He began his career in finance while still in college working summers for two different venture capital firms in Pittsburgh, PA and Stamford, CT.
After college, he marketed financial and insurance products through The Prudential.
Later, he gained extensive operational and marketing experience co-managing and acting as senior trader for Steelmet, Inc. in Chicago, for six years.
He was a research analyst for Oppenheimer Capital and a research consultant for the Courtney Group Inc., a mergers and acquisitions firm.
He received his BA from Vanderbilt University in 1988 and a MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business Administration in 1998 Beta Gamma Sigma.
