Michael Shears

Mr. Michael Shears is an Executive Director & Head of Asset Management at AEW UK Investment Management LLP.
He joined AEW in 2014 and has over 16 years' industry experience.
Michael is responsible for Asset Management across the UK funds and is Assistant Portfolio Manager for the AEW UK Core Property Fund.
From 2010, Mr. Shears was at DTZ in the Investment and Development Agency team, where he advised on property acquisitions and sales within the South West of England, with the majority of transactions being on behalf of UK property funds.
From 2006 he was working in both a Professional Advisory Services and Valuation capacity, although specialising in retail landlord and tenant advice.
Prior to DTZ he worked in a business space agency role in Southampton.
He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).
