Prior to joining Jordan, Knauff & Company in 2003, Mr. Collins was an Associate at Morgan Stanley.
He started his career in 1995 in the Troy, Michigan office of what was then Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. His responsibilities included advising individuals and business owners on their investments and retirement plans.
In addition to conducting the direct marketing effort required to grow his client base, he served as the training coordinator for all new Financial Advisors in the office and was a speaker at various national meetings of the company.
By the time he was invited to join the high net worth client group of Morgan Stanley in 2001, Mr. Collins was responsible for roughly $80 million in client assets.
While at Morgan Stanley's Private Wealth Management group in Chicago, he focused on developing new business opportunities among investors with $10 million or more in liquid assets and assisted in managing a proprietary covered call option portfolio.
Mr. Collins is a graduate of Central Michigan University where he received his B.S.; Mr. Collins was a Finance major and a Centralis Scholar at Central Michigan University as well.
While there, he spent a semester studying economics and Japanese language at the Waseda Hoshien Center in Tokyo, Japan.
In 2004, Mr. Collins earned his MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
