Textile manufacturing of woven fabrics made of man-made filament yarns began after Second World War in Považská Bystrica, Senica and in Cotton Factory in Rybarpole ( today Ružomberok) in the days of industrializing Slovakia. It was not very profitable production, therefore there was an effort to build a big weaving factory for woven fabrics made of man-made filament yarns manufacturing. The field day for building a factory was on 1th May 1947. During building and also in the first year of working, this factory was a branch of home factory in Ružomberok.
