John Stephens joined Bacon's in August 2002, after MediaPulse Inc., the broadcast news monitoring company he founded in 1991, was acquired by Bacon's.
As VP of Bacon's Broadcast Monitoring Division, John has operational responsibility for the newest Bacon's division.
John is also President of News Data Service, Inc., a consortium of 42 broadcast monitoring companies in the United States and Canada.
As a past President of the IABM, the International Association of Broadcast Monitors, John is active in broadcast news monitoring issues on an international level.
Prior to founding MediaPulse, John directed public relations and marketing campaigns for the St. Louis, MO regional Chamber of Commerce & Growth Association.
Earlier in his career he held marketing positions at NW Ayer Advertising and CBS Television.
