John Donato Carifa

John D.
Carifa is President and Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Capital Management Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Capital's Mutual Funds Division.
He serves on the Board of Directors of ACMC and is Chairman and Director of the majority of Alliance Capital's Mutual Fund Boards.
Before joining Alliance Capital in 1971, Mr. Carifa served in various financial positions with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. for six years.
Earlier in his career, he was with the Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company.
Mr. Carifa serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of The American Composers Orchestra.
He also is a member of the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute.
He received his B.B.A.
and M.B.A.
with honors from Pace University
