John D. Faig

Mr. Faig has been in tech-related research for thirteen years with experience on both the buyside and sellside and in industry.
Prior to joining Viant, he was an equity analyst responsible for recommending long and short positions in technology stocks at American Express/IDS.
Mr. Faig was also responsible for due diligence on private equity deals in the software and Internet sectors.
Prior to his work at American Express, Mr. Faig was lead software equity analyst at PaineWebber and Lehman Brothers where he covered a broad universe of enterprise software companies.
In addition to his background in finance, Mr. Faig has also worked at META Group, where provided strategic consulting and industry analysis to some of the largest software companies and F500 corporations.
With his expertise, he was a frequent speaker at industry conferences and was an oft quoted source in industry publications.
Mr. Faig holds a B.Sc.
in Computer Science from Northeastern University .
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and is Series 7 and 63 certified.
