He has an extensive knowledge of the small/mid cap market built up over a period of more than 16 years.
He has led both primary and secondary transactions, listings on AIM and the Full List and has considerable insight into numerous industry sectors.
During his career, Mr. Downes has developed a specialism in the resources sector (hard rock and oil & gas).
His UK client focus covers the long only life/pension funds, family offices, private wealth managers and a number of hedge funds.
Prior to joining SP Angel, he spent over four years at Fairfax I.S.
PLC, four years at Evolution Securities, and was one of the founders of the small/mid cap sales team at Teather and Greenwood.
