Ms. Joanna LaPlaca is a Director-Portfolio Recruiting at Polaris Venture Partners.

In this role, she spent the majority of her time as a member of the Life Sciences practice.
Ms. LaPlaca started in search as a research associate with LAI Worldwide (eventually acquired by Heidrick and Struggles), and was later promoted to an Associate in the Life Sciences practice.
Ms. LaPlaca graduated with a B.A.
from Wheaton College.
During her time at Wheaton, Ms. LaPlaca was a member of the varsity track & field and soccer teams.
