IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH (IFB Innovationsstarter) is a venture capital subsidiary of Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank, itself owned by the State of Hamburg, founded in 2011. The firm is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.

Originally founded as Mikroelektronik Anwendungszentrum Hamburg GmbH (MAZ) in 1990 by the City of Hamburg, as a political-economic instrument aimed to support the 'chip sector' in northern Germany, MLO was created as a result of an MBO from MAZ in 2001.
