Gail Burke

Prior to her appointment in London, Gail Burke was the Managing Director of BNP Paribas Securities Services in Australia and New Zealand.
Gail joined BNP Paribas in May 2003 at the time of the re-branding of Cogent, AMP’s investment administration business which was acquired by BNP Paribas in September 2002.
Gail came to BNP from Macquarie Bank where she was an Executive Director, held the CIO role for 12 years and was COO for the Financial Services Group for 3 years.
Gail was awarded the CIO of the Decade by Australian Banking & Finance in 2002 and has been awarded the Centenary Medal for services to Australian society in business leadership by the Australian Government.
Gail has been a Member of the University of Melbourne, Department of Information Systems Advisory Board (1994-1997), a Member of Federal Government’s Information Technology and Telecommunications Advisory Board (ITTPAC) (1995-1997), a non-Executive Director of the Board of AirServices Australia (1999-2001) and a Trustee of the Sydney Opera House and a non-Executive Director of the Board of Harvey World Travel.
