Prior to joining Unitus, Ms. Reid founded Conscious Communications, where she developed corporate social responsibility strategies and executed cause-related marketing programs and brand campaigns, as well as fundraising initiatives.
Prior to Conscious Communications she was a key communications strategist for Starbucks’ Corporate Social Responsibility team, focusing on issues related to coffee supply chain, human rights, fair trade and sustainable products, economic transparency and business practices.
Ms. Reid has driven communications and marketing strategies at other organizations, including San Francisco-based BEA Systems and the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, and was Corporate Communications and Community Relations Manager for Microsoft Corporation’s WebTV Networks subsidiary.
Ms. Reid has a B.A.
from Western Washington University and has completed certification coursework in management development for entrepreneurs at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and in corporate community involvement at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.
