Carolyn R. Kahn

Dr. Carolyn R.
Kahn is President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Sensor Innovations, Inc. and an Advisor at Axiom Venture Partners.
She is on the Board of Directors at Sensor Innovations, Inc. During her career she has been a medical scientist at the Cornell University School of Medicine and Stanford University School of Medicine.
She developed a patented model of the human cornea for the Gillette Corporation and has published in the academic literature.
In the business arena, Dr. Kahn has done biotech venture investing for Connecticut Innovations, Inc. where she created its BioSeed Fund and made investments in four start-ups, including Achillion and Rib-X.
Dr. Kahn made investments in and served on the boards of several successful early stage biotech ventures, including Sopherion Therapeutics.
In addition, she helped to create and run the $60 million BioTech Facilities fund to provide facilities financing to biotech companies.
She founded and served as CEO of Hepaticus, Inc. a start-up company serving the ADMET and HCV drug development markets.
She is currently the principal of an active management consulting practice, BioScience Insights, in San Francisco, CA.
Dr. Kahn received her degrees from the Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
