Carlyle R.
Brakensiek is Chairman of AdvoCal, a Member of the National Eagle Scout Association and the American Society of Association Executives, an Executive Vice President of the California Society of Industrial Medicine & Surgery, a Charter Member of the 501(c) Network, as well as a Director of the Institute of Governmental Advocates.
He has been a Member of The State Bar of California since January 1970.
Mr. Brakensiek joined AdvoCal in 1983 as a Founding Partner.
He was Chairman of the State Executives Council of the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association from 1991 to 1992 and General Counsel and Chief of Staff at the California Assembly Committee on Finance, Insurance, and Commerce from 1974 to 1981.
Mr. Brakensiek was Legislative Coordinator at the California Department of Corporations, Chief Consultant at the Legislature's Workers' Compensation Subcommittee, and Special Consultant at the Workers' Compensation Task Force of the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Previously, he worked at the Federal Trade Commission.
Mr. Brakensiek has experience in lobbying and legislative process.
He received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Occidental College, a JD from the University of Southern California, and an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.
