Byron Edward Gill

Mr. Byron E.
Gill, CFA, is a Managing Partner at Indus Capital Partners LLC.
He is on the Board of Directors at The Basic Fund.
He is also a founder of Indus Capital with responsibility for managing the Pan-Asia Long/Short Strategy.
Mr. Gill has been analyzing and investing in Asian equities for over 20 years.
Prior to starting Indus Capital, he headed Soros Fund Management's Tokyo office.
Before this, Mr. Gill was a research analyst following Japanese retailers and consumer goods companies at Salomon Smith Barney (Japan) and at SBC consumer goods companies at Salomon Smith Barney (Japan) and at SBC Warburg (Japan) for 6 years.
Mr. Gill majored in Economics at Brandeis University where he graduated magna cum laude in 1991 and also spent a year at Keio University in Tokyo as a Rotary Scholar.
He is CFA charter holder.
