Dr. Alexandra Spitz Oener is a Research Associate at Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH.

Since May 2001 she works in the newly founded "Information and Communication Technologies" (ICT) research group.
Her present research interests are the impact of ICT on the skill-structure of the labor force and on workplace organization.
From October 2003 to February 2004, she visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
She obtained her PhD from the University of Mannheim in December 2004.
Her thesis focused on changing skill requirements brought about by the introduction of ICT at the workplace.
She was at CREST in Paris for a research stay from March to September 2005.
