Mr. Wil G.
Garland is a Principal at American Capital.
Prior to joining American Capital in 2009, he held the position of Group President of Cannon Solutions, a division of IMI, plc, one of Europe's largest engineering firms.
Mr. Garland returned the division to acceptable rates of growth and profitability by winning new business, more efficient sourcing and targeted pricing.
He was responsible for increasing operating profits 42.5% and company Cash Flow from $11.8MM to $18.4MM.
He has held several CEO positions at firms such as American IronHorse Motorcycle, Inc., ADS CORP, a division of Axel Johnson, Inc. and DIAM International.
Prior to 1999, he worked as President for the USA division of Pentland Group, a sporting goods, footwear and apparel business based in London, UK.
He started his career in sales, marketing and general management with Procter & Gamble in 1983, including assignments in the Arabian Peninsula, Scandinavia and Turkey.
Mr. Garland received his bachelor's degree from University of Tennessee.
He currently resides outside of Nashville, TN.
