Kalaris is Chief Executive of the Wealth and Investment Management division of Barclays, Executive Chairman of Barclays in the Americas and Head of Private Banking at Gerrard Investment Management Ltd.

Prior to taking up his current position in January 2006, he was Chief Executive, Americas, and Head of Distribution and Research at Barclays Capital, based in New York.
In addition, he oversaw all of Barclays investment and wholesale commercial banking activities in the Americas.
He joined Barclays in September 1996 after 18 years at JP Morgan where he held a number of roles, including Head of Fixed Income Sales, Trading and Research, and was responsible for all activities with investors in the United States.
He also served on the US Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee and is a former Chair of the US Bond Market Association, a predecessor organisation to SIFMA.
Mr. Kalaris graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and received his MBA from the University of Chicago.
He spent most of his school years attending international schools in Southeast Asia.
