During his time at the BoJ, his responsibilities included the analysis of cross-border funds flow through Japanese financial institutions, analysis of monetary policy through its various channels, as well as organising the international conference on the central banks' prudence policy hosted by the BoJ.
He graduated with an MA and a Ph.D.
in Economics from Brown University and with a BA from Hitotsubashi University.
