Mr. Roelof C.
Horne was previously employed as a Portfolio Manager by Investec Asset Management Ltd.
He was involved in equity analysis and portfolio management before becoming Head of Research in the financial services sector, after which he was Head of Life Products from 2002 to 2007.
Prior to Investec Asset Management, Mr. Horne was Chief Financial Officer of First Derivatives (part of the FirstRand group).
He began his career at Deloitte & Touche in Johannesburg, where he specialized in financial institutions, and was made a Partner in 1993.
Mr. Horne graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1985 with a BCom with Honours (cum laude) in Accounting.
He qualified as a South African Chartered Accountant in 1987.
