Richard Walls

Richard Alan Walls was the founder of Santonia Energy, Inc. (founded in 2002) and Mapan Energy Ltd. (founded in 2009), where he held the titles of Chairman and President, Chief Executive Officer & Director, respectively.
He is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer of C&C Energy (Barbados) Ltd. (since 2010), President of Raw Energy Ltd., and a member of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, The Geological Society of America, Inc., and the Society of Economic Paleontologists & Mineralogists, Inc. He has previously held positions as President & Chief Executive Officer of Fairquest Energy Ltd. (2005-2007), Canadian Midstream Services Ltd. (1999-2001), Poco Petroleums Ltd. (1990), and Pan East Petroleum, Inc. (1993-1998).
He was also Chairman of Fairborne Energy Trust (2002-2009) and Vice President of Petrosec Exploration Ltd. (1980-1983).
Dr. Walls holds a doctorate degree from McGill University (1977), an undergraduate degree from Morehead State University (Kentucky) (1971), and a graduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1973).
