Funzionano AS produces and sells functional nanotechnology-based hybrid polymers. It is a generic technology platform that has been developed at SINTEF materials and chemistry. The company is headquartered in Trondheim, Norway.

Si Pro is a turn-key provider of silicon recycling services to leading, global photovoltaic ingot and wafer manufacturers. Through its strong experience base and long operating history it recycles both mono- and multicrystalline silicon materials, including other specialty components. With a high process yield, high quality and lean manufacturing it aims to create significant value to its customers. Si Pro currently has factories in Glomfjord, Norway, and in Tuas, Singapore. Its operators have been recycling silicon and related specialty components in Glomfjord since 2004, in close collaboration with its customers. Si Pro AS was formally founded as a company in 2006. With Si Pro as an independent company it has been able to increase its R&D efforts to continuously improve its processes. In November 2009, Si Pro was awarded its first international contract. Its Singapore operation started up in April, 2010. It considers its Singapore facility as the first step towards its target to becoming the leading international player within silicon recycling support to the photovoltaic industry. In November 2009, Si Pro also raised their Series A, when Novus Energy Partners (Novus) and Energy Future Invest (EFI) came in as new investors in the company. Novus and EFI are active investors in Si Pro, and contribute both strategically and financially to support a strong future growth for its company.
