Neil D. Johansen

Mr. Neil D.
Johansen is Managing Partner at Fulcrum Capital Partners, Inc. He leads Fulcrum Capital Partners investment activities in Western Canada.
An accomplished deal tactician, he excels at structuring effective investments and strategies with his strong sense of partner relationships and an ability to think laterally.
He’s a core member of Fulcrum’s Investment Committee, and sits on several boards of directors of our portfolio companies.
Mr. Johansen has considerable and in-depth experience in the banking sector, both in Canada and in the U.K.
He has held positions at Continental Bank of Canada, Roynat Inc., and National Bank of Canada.
In 1993, he joined HSBC Bank Canada, and was posted to HSBC Holdings plc in London, England four years later to work in corporate training.
In 2000, he returned to Canada and assumed the role of Vice President at HSBC Capital, where he would eventually be appointed Managing Director.
During this period he was responsible for sourcing, leading and exiting numerous transactions.
In addition to his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary, Mr. Johansen holds an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University.
