Mr. Nazar Sharif is a Managing Director & Portfolio Manager at Oaktree Capital Management Ltd.
He joined Oaktree’s London office in 1999 from Societe Generale, where he was an Assistant Director in the Leveraged Finance Group specializing in large pan-European leveraged buyout and mezzanine transactions.
Previously, Mr. Sharif had qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working in the corporate finance/transaction services unit.
During this period, he undertook a temporary assignment to the Structured Finance Department at the Bank of Scotland, where he worked on the structuring and analysis of a number of large leverage finance transactions.
Mr. Sharif is an honours graduate of the University of Bristol, England.
