Ewaso Ng’iro North Development Authority is a government agency established in 1989 under Kenyan law, mandated to plan, coordinate, and implement integrated development projects within the Ewaso region, covering over 209,000 km² across 10 counties and serving more than 4 million people. The private company is based in Isiolo, Kenya. The agency focuses on sustainable natural resource management and socio-economic development in arid and semi-arid lands. Its key initiatives include processing gum resins from Commiphora and Boswellia trees into essential oils for markets, developing the camel milk value chain, reforestation, riparian zone rehabilitation, water harvesting infrastructure, feasibility studies for multipurpose dams, irrigation infrastructure, modern dryland farming, livestock watering, technical studies, and maintaining a geo-referenced natural resources database. The authority also promotes integrated water development, drought and flood emergency interventions, livelihood transformation programs, and proposed projects such as clay building materials and leather factories. It offers services including essential oils sales, machinery hire, and consultancy, collaborating with government and private partners. Abdulrazaq Adan Ali has been the CEO of the Kenyan company since 2000.
