Michael G. Cantonis

Michael Cantonis joined Thayer as an Associate in 2003.
Mr. Cantonis concentrates on evaluating opportunities in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries as well as the process control sector.
He worked extensively on the acquisition of Heckethorn Manufacturing Company, Inc. and continues to work with Thayer’s investments in MISTRAS Holdings Group and The Brown Corporation of America.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Cantonis was a senior financial analyst at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, where he worked on a variety of mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring and financial advisory assignments.
Previously, Mr. Cantonis was an analyst with The Beacon Group LLC, focusing on strategic advisory assignments.
Mr. Cantonis received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics with a certificate in Political Economy from Princeton University.
He is also a co-founder of DCPE, a Washington, D.C.
based organization of young private equity professionals.
