Matthew L. McConnell

Mr. McConnell was the Founder, President and CEO of Compatible Systems Corp., which developed and manufactured enterprise-class routers.
He guided the company through a decade of self-funded growth and brought in Boulder Ventures and other venture investors to expand into the nascent market for virtual private networks.
Cisco Systems acquired Compatible in 2000.
Mr. McConnell worked as a Director of Engineering at Cisco, with responsibility for Cisco's engineering efforts on network-based VPN products.
Mr. McConnell received bachelor's degrees in English Literature and Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and went on to work in marketing and engineering positions for several area startups.
