Mr. Matthew J.
Roehr, CFA, is Principal & Portfolio Manager at Northwest Investment Counselors LLC.
He co-founded the firm in 1998 and has extensive investment and analytical skills to the firm.
He has worked in the investment industry over 30 years with experience in portfolio management and equity analytics.
He is active in the community and is an Assistant Coach for CYO Boys Lacrosse.
Mr. Roehr began his investment career in 1988 with Wilshire Associates, one of the largest pension consultants, in Santa Monica, CA.
There, he worked as an analyst assessing manager performance and risk for some of the largest defined benefit pension plans in the country.
He returned home to Seattle in 1989 to work for Brueggeman & Johnson, P.C., a Certified Public Accounting firm, specializing in the valuation of private businesses and litigation support.
As a senior analyst he provided complex valuation and litigation support services.
Prior to starting Northwest Investment Counselors he worked at CCI, Inc. in Portland, OR as an analyst and portfolio manager from 1993 to 1998.
He is a former volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and Dove Lewis Animal Hospital.
He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1992 and holds a Master of Arts in Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara He also holds Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
