Matt Smith

Matt is an Investment Manager supporting our Aspire fund.
Prior to joining NZGCP, Matt spent five years as Associate Director with Lewis Tucker & Company, a boutique investment bank in Wellington.
Matt’s role in Lewis Tucker included leading advisory and transactional mandates across a wide variety of primary sector industries including water storage, processing infrastructure, apiculture and agri-tech.
Before this Matt worked in the M&A and strategy teams at Todd Corporation where his role involved strategy formulation, sector analysis, deal origination and execution.
Prior to Todd Corporation Matt worked in Transactional Advisory Services with Ernst Young.
Matt is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Master’s in applied finance (Distinction) from Victoria University in Wellington and completed a BCOM at the University of Otago majoring in accounting and finance.
