Via Christi Health System's has a history of serving the people of Kansas and the surrounding region that dates back more than 100 years to the healing ministries of their founding congregations. They serve Kansas and northeast Oklahoma through their 10 owned or co-owned medical centers, 12 senior services communities and programs, their retail (home-based) and outpatient services, and Preferred Health Systems insurance company. In FY 2008, Via Christi Health System provided $73.4 million in benefit to the communities they serve. This includes $35.2 million in charity care and $20.2 million in unpaid costs of Medicaid services provided. health system employs more than 9,000 and, in FY 2008, generated $1.265 billion in revenue. Via Christi Health System is affiliated with the Marian Health System and Ascension Health. Via Christi Solutions serves healthcare providers throughout Kansas by helping them implement and manage innovative technology and support systems. A seasoned team of regional managers works with Via Christi Solutions clients to help them improve patient care and control healthcare costs. Products and services range from strategic planning and grant writing to information technology and clinical solutions, including PACS/RIS, Mirror Image Extranet, eCare-ICU and ePharmacy.
