Lewis E. Platt

Mr. Platt is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett-Packard Company.
Mr. Platt joined HP in 1966 and held a variety of management posts in the company's medical-products operations prior to becoming General Manager of the Waltham, Mass.
Division in 1974.
He was General Manager of HP's Analytical Group, later renamed Chemical Analysis Group, from 1980-1984 and was elected an HP Vice President in 1983.
From 1984 to 1988 he managed various parts of HP's computer business.
In 1987, Mr. Platt was elected Executive Vice President.
In 1988, he was chosen to oversee the Computer Products Sector and in 1990, he was named Head of the Computer Systems Organization.
He was elected President and Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors in 1992.
The board elected Mr. Platt to succeed David Packard as Chairman when he announced his retirement on Sept.
17, 1993.
Mr. Platt also serves as a Director for The University of Pennsylvania, 7-Eleven, Inc., and an advisor for Rein Capital LLC.
Mr. Platt has served as a past Non-Executive Chairman.
