Kaveh Pahlavan

Kaveh Pahlavan is Chief Technical Advisor of Skyhook Wireless, Inc. He is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Director of the Center for Wireless Information Network Studies for the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Dr. Pahlavan is a Consultant of GTE Laboratories, Simplex, Mercury Computers, WINDATA, 3COM, Codex/Motorola, Savi Technologies, RadioLAN, Aironet, United Technology, NTT, Nokia, the Finnish Academy and NTT.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal on Wireless Information Networks.
Dr. Pahlavan founded and was Program Chairman and Organizer of the IEEE Wireless LAN Workshop.
Previously, he was Technical Program Chairman of the IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC).
Dr. Pahlavan also served as a Member of the Committee on Evolution of Untethered Communication and the US National Research Council.
He was Westin Hadden Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1993 to 1996 and become a Fellow of Nokia in 1999.
