John L. Walker

John Walker is a Director based in the Manchester office.
John gained experience lending to the corporate market with Barclays Bank before joining Barclays Private Equity in 1992.
He has broad experience across many industries, but with specialisms in the Support Services, Financial Services and Consumer & Travel sectors.
He has led a number of transactions in these sectors, including the MBOs of NCC, Direct Group and DCK Concessions, and the significant investment in Jerrold Holdings which he had pursued for 4 years.
John Walker is a non-executive Director of a number of companies in the Barclays Private Equity portfolio, with a wide experience of buy-outs and transactions resulting in trade sales.
