Jimmy Burns

After graduating Jimmy Burns joined the stockbrokers BWD Rensburg where he became a partner and a member of the Stock Exchange in 1986.
He joined Stewart Ivory in 1990, became Head of Continental European Equities in 1993 and then moved on to specialise in small capitalisation investments.
Following the purchase of Stewart Ivory by First State in March 2000, Mr Burns remained focussed on small and mid caps.
In 2004 he joined Berenberg Bank to manage the Berenberg Euro Mid & Small Cap Fund which was launched in December 2004.
Jimmy Burns holds a Bachelor of Arts with honours in French from the University of Durham and speaks fluent French and Italian.
