Jim R. Berens

Mr. Jim R.
Berens is President at Wexford Science & Technology LLC.
Prior to joining Wexford, he was President of Townsend Capital, LLC from 1996 through 2005, he extended the company’s relationships with universities, university related research parks, health systems and other non-profit institutions.
Before Townsend Capital, he was a banking industry veteran, with over 18 years at Bank of America, N.A.
and its predecessor banks.
At Bank of America, he was Commercial Market Manager for the Washington, D.C.
region.
Mr. Berens serves as Chairman of the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America, Baltimore Area Council and a member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of Blind Industries and Services of Maryland.
Mr. Berens graduated from Pennsylvania State University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance, and University of Virginia’s Colgate Darden School of Business Administration with a Masters of Business Administration.
