The firm was founded in 2002 as the public equities division of FTSE 250 listed private equity group, SVG Capital plc. They were formerly known as GVO Investment Management Ltd. and became GVQ Investment Management in 2015. Headquartered in London, GVQIM serves as a specialist manager of public equity funds, created with the objective of adopting private equity investment techniques and adapting them for use in the public markets.
