Mr. Sommerfeld began his career on Wall Street in 1965 as an account executive with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. After five years he became a member of the firm's Law & Compliance Division where he had a variety of responsibilities including Compliance Counsel.
