Donat Auf der Maur

Mr. Donat Auf der Maur is a Senior Investment Professional of Horizon21 Private Equity since December 2006.
Mr. Donat Auf der Maur has extensive experience in the private equity industry.
He started his career in 1996 at Policy Management Systems (now part of CSC), a leading software solutions provider for the global insurance industry.
During four years he gained operational experience as a Product Manager and Pre-sales Specialist in Columbia, United States, and in Cologne, Germany.
In 2000, he joined Swiss Re in Zurich, Switzerland, and was initially focused on direct venture capital and private equity investments in financial services companies.
He was also involved in various corporate development activities at Swiss Re.
Since 2003, he has been exclusively focused on private equity fund investments and had a leading role in defining, building and managing the investment activity in venture capital and private equity funds globally.
At Swiss Re he led numerous investments in venture capital and growth equity funds in the United States, Europe, and Israel.
He holds an International Master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, United States.
He also holds an undergraduate degree in business economics from Berry College, Rome, United States.

He is married and lives with his family in Switzerland.
