Dixon Low

Mr. Low has been with Third Security since its inception in 1999.
As one of the founding Managing Directors, Mr. Low has participated in shaping the firm and its direction.
Active in various business settings for nearly 25 years, Mr. Low's primary function and responsibility is the structuring and completion of acquisitions and divestitures on the part of the firm.
Prior to the formation of Third Security, his work experience included time spent as the Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of General Injectables & Vaccines, Inc. and its holding company and the Director of the Tax Practice of the Roanoke, Virginia office of KPMG LLP.
In addition, Mr. Low practiced public accounting and taxation with Deloitte & Touche (previously Deloitte Haskins & Sells) and Coopers & Lybrand.
During his time with Deloitte, Mr. Low was a member of the mergers and acquisition practice of the firm's National Tax Office in Washington, DC, where he not only consulted with offices around the world on M&A issues, but also was the primary tax professional associated with the firm's services to The Carlyle Group.
Mr. Low received a B.B.A.
from the University of North Texas (formerly North Texas State University) and a Masters of Accountancy (emphasis in taxation) from Brigham Young University.
In addition to his work at TS, Mr. Low serves on the Boards of Directors of a number of the firm's portfolio companies.
