Dirk Creado

Dirk Creado (1960) incorporated StoneFund in 2000 upon request of the Colruyt family.
As a managing partner Dirk invests in high-tech companies both in their early and venture stage.
His field of interest is ICT and New Materials.
On behalf of StoneFund he holds several board seats in mainly ICT companies.
In 1983 Dirk obtained his master’s degree in Engineering in Integrated Circuit Design at the Catholic University of Leuven, followed by an MBA at the same university.
Dirk started his career in 1986 at Motorola-Codex as an application engineer and later moved on to the function of distribution sales manager on a European scale.
In 1991 he entered the financial industry and joined the KBC where he was assigned to the worldwide implementation of the IBS banking system.
He subsequently acted as manager trade finance & international payments and as an advisor of the credit committee.
As a senior investment manager Dirk joined the GIMV, one of the largest venture capital providers in Belgium.
During his time at GIMV he had several ICT-companies under management and participated at several IPO's.
Dirk has managed / is managing the investments in Bopack, Sofindev 2, APT, Ecophos, DSoft, Bricsnet, Mara Ventures, GAS.
